“And though you are not sentient, Spot, and do not comprehend,
I nonetheless consider you a true and valued friend.”
~Ode to Spot, by Data~
That shall also be my ode to Ziva, queen of the castle and belly rub temptress.
This post is in response to Linda G. Hill’s One-Liner Wednesday series. Feel free to run over to her blog site and join in on the challenge.
“belly rub temptress” Does that mean that she actually likes belly rubs or is she like many of the cats I know who tempt you but then gobble you hand in a flurry of feet and claws?
Sometimes, if I’m careful and coo at her a lot, I can get a few belly rubs in. But most often…per the cat rules…she voices her disdain and the mouth and feet attack. It’s hilarious, really, that we are trying to be good, loving humans and they want to push us away like a stale bowl of cat food.
Trust Data to give a cat a dog’s name.
And what is with that “Look at me all cute and vulnerable, touch me and you’ll regret it” thing?
I’m going to call my next cat Data.
Haha! Love it. 🙂 What a cutie!
I thank you and Ziva says “purrrrrrrrr”
