Welcome Home

“Missing someone and not being able to see them is the worst feeling ever.”

~Nathanael Richmond~

While I was away last week, this one couldn’t see me.

That made him a little needy.

And kneady.

Natasha said he was trying to make a loaf of bread at her expense.

There was a little bit of cat crying too.

Or perhaps a lot.

Gibbs missed his human mom.

Meanwhile…

This one didn’t seem to be affected at all.

She slept her usual 23 hours each day.

Except when she had enough energy to play with a ball for five minutes, one day.

I’m glad I didn’t make her life any tougher than it already is.

Ziva did not have the worst feeling ever.

Until I came home and she puked on the bed.

Welcome home, mom.

Nothing says welcome home like cat puke πŸ™‚

I’ve been around needy cats when their preferred human is gone. As the stand-in, you feel necessary but not quite worthy.

    Welcome back.

Yeah, cleaning up cat puke is great when all I really want is a meow and purr. πŸ˜‰
It’s good to be back home if only to pet the cats and sleep in my own bed.

When we leave our cat with someone else she misses us or at least that’s how I read her expression when we see her again. I imagine she felt abandoned.

    • bikerchick57 says:

All cats and dogs form an attachment to their caretaker and don’t like it when we leave for extended periods. I wish they understood that we will not abandon them.

Ziva either spits up hairballs or eats too fast and spits up her food. This time it was a reminder that mom needs to brush her again.

Always love to see happy cats and happy humans… I’m just staying home, I would miss Mr. Bowie too much.

We all show emotion in our own way. I’m attributing Ziva’s demonstration as stress relief. That’s her story, and she’s sticking to it.

LOL – puked on the bed…cats! So nice they missed you, though! They sure are lovely creatures – I love your pictures of them!

Gibbs and Ziva thank you for your comments, as do I. Yes, they are lovely, except for the puke and not covering in the litter box and waking me up at 4 am and begging for food. :-p

    Oh bless.
My cats do well in our absence. Always enjoy the housesitters. My son’s cat vomits while he’s gone. She’s spoiled πŸ˜‰

Gibbs has a case separation anxiety. Natasha was home all week with him and her daughter visited often. It’s not like he didn’t get any love at all. I guess I am his pack leader and he wants me to be home.

You are beloved, like my son. And Gibbs is spoiled, like Missy πŸ˜‰

  7. Leaving our cat is terrible. I guess that’s why we only go places that are a 1 hour and a half to 2 hrs come home after about 3 days then go back on vacation. Cats miss us and all the loving.

    • bikerchick57 says:

That’s perfectly okay, Crystal. I missed my cats too, but was too far away to come back in between to snuggle. If only they liked to travel…it would solve everything!
