One-Liner Wednesday: Nada is My Hero

“I’ve got nothing.”

Zip.

Zero.

Nada is blank’s hero.

Naught.

Nil.

Dark emptiness is thy will.

Duck egg.

Goose egg.

A fly speck clings to cipher’s leg.

Diddly.

Void.

Not much rhymes with void except hemorrhoid.

Scratch.

Shutout.

Nullity is what extinction is about.

No thing.

Not anything.

Absolutely, Positively, Valueless Nothing.

This post has been brought to you by a void of nothingness. It has also been brought to you by Linda G. Hill’s “One-Liner Wednesday.” All you need to play along every week is an awesome one-liner and follow a few rules. Birds on a wire are not required, but make sure you link back today’s post to HERE so the rest of us #1linerweds peeps can read it.

Thank you for visiting this Seinfeld episode about nothing. Next Wednesday there might be something, but don’t hold your breath. Glad you enjoyed this, Dan.

  1. This:- …
    “Diddly.

    Void.

Not much rhymes with void except hemorrhoid.”

. . . . that – had me laughing LOUDLY. It was like taking a fabulous walk, and suddenly coming upon a rare animal or bird, which isn’t native to the island you live on in the world. Or … in this case …. a gem. A brilliantly cut Diamond which glistens and twinkles in a rainbow of colours, and colours unknown to man.

The whole poem is brilliant Mary. But if I read nothing else funny today, that part of your poem will continue to glisten and twinkle in my world, for I shall carry it around, nestled into my heart.
I SO love fun stuff. (I’m such a child. lol)
Sending squidges ~ Cobs. xxx ❤

Cobs, glad I could make you laugh loudly today! Much like the empty place I was in when trying to come up with a one-liner this week, trying to rhyme a word with void was somewhat painful. So, I went with the flow and let the hemorrhoid rip.

Thanks for all of your lovely, kind words about this post. And the squidges too! 🙂

I liked this poem of nothingness so much, I had to do what my mom taught me long ago to do if I truly wanted to enjoy a poem: I read it aloud not once but twice, and it felt even more delightful in my mouth.

Aunt Beulah, this is a wonderful way to encourage poetry…read it out loud! Thanks for doing that with nothing but a poem that has more than a zero feel in your mouth. 😃

This is a fun response to the prompt. I hope that you won’t think that my comment is “nothing.” Or maybe you will! Either way, great post.
