“The Flats” is a well-known area of Appleton, WI. Formerly the home of paper mills and an industrial area, it now boasts apartments, eateries and a walking trail in a flat area along the banks of the Fox River. With camera in hand, I went for a drive and a walk in search of street life. You won’t see many vehicles or people in the photos, but I can tell you that both were out in full force on a beautiful spring day. Adults and children walked the family dog and geese honked their approval of water and warmth.

That is indeed street life, regardless of lack of characters. But how perverse they are, those absent cast members, eh, M-J ? – how like them to disappear the moment you wish to commit them to your small hard disk …:-)
I know! How rude!

Hey, high of 52 on Sunday…that’s like summer!
The light quality is superb, it picks out all of the details. Love the way you have captured nature growing alongside the nature of a community changing and developing.
Thank you. I owe the light quality to the late afternoon sun. The rest was just there, waiting for someone with a camera.
Nothing like great timing. Good call!
Oh my goodness! Awesome article dude! Thank you, However I am
having difficulties with your RSS. I don’t understand why I
can’t subscribe to it. Is there anyone else having similar RSS
issues? Anyone who knows the answer can you kindly respond?
Thanks!!
I don’t know why you cannot subscribe. I’m not entirely technically saavy with WordPress, so perhaps someone else can answer your question.
Thanks for the pingback!
