Here we are
Back for now
Today
Here we are
Back for now
In a poetic way
Life too busy
Far from easy
Here and there
Never Nowhere
Here we are
Back for now
Ready
Here we are
Back for now
Fast and Steady
Life still fun
On the run
Ever exploring
Sometimes boring

Here I am
Back for now
Choosing
Here I am
Back for now
Forward moving
To write and read
In various speeds
Workouts again
Upright and then…
Here I am
Back for now
Creating
Here I am
Back for now
Gray skies abating
Mom’ing two cats
Wearing winter hats
Daylight on upswing
Craving cookies and early spring
Here I am
Back for now
Today
Hooray
It’s good to see you back here, Mary. You are making the most of your retirement – that’s a very good thing.
I am happy in retirement, Dan, but glad that February is turning out to be a quiet one. I need to finish reading The Blue Bar and write more often before summer comes and I’m back to being in the wind again. Have a wonderful Monday!
Itβs good to see you back.
Thanks Sadje!
Youβre welcome
I like your poem. Isn’t it wonderful when you can turn your life into poetry?
It’s far better that my life is poetry rather than a horror movie. I’m very blessed that way, Ally.
I have never been so happy to know spring is on the way. Not anywhere near as cold as your weather, but this Florida cold has worn me out.
Hello kitties! So handsome and cute.
This time of year is when we get “cabin fever,” which is to say, “Warm up, already!” I hope that happens for all of us as soon as I’m ready to enjoy the longer days and warmth of spring.
I hear you!! I’m past ready for warmer weather which is why I’m planning my escape to visit my sister in sunny Florida. She was moaning that it got down to 45F at night and only up to 72F in the day. Sunday we walked to the car with friends and the sun was out and it was 36F. Everyone was saying how warm it was – balmy even! Sparky didn’t even put on his hat or zip his coat. So I have no idea what my sister is complaining about!
I have to laugh at people who live in warmer climates. I suppose their “cold” is real to them, but they have no idea what that word really means. It makes you and I grateful for 36F and sunny!
Glad to see you are back, Mary. I guess this also means it’s my turn now to show up again… π
Mr. Gibbs looks a lot like Jimi, they could be family…
Ha! Gibbs and Jimi…brothers from another mother…and father…and country. Gibbs turned 14 in December and he is doing well healthwise. Hoshi keeps him a bit more active than before, whether he likes it or not. ππΌ Hope to see you back to blogging soon!
Gibbs turned 14…?? He looks 4 years old in the photograph! π
He has youthful genes, I guess!
Welcome back!
Thank you!
So glad to see you anytime Mary! I so get it.π€
Being busy doesn’t help my writing mojo, but now I feel a little less encumbered and ready to express. π
I understand.
“Craving cookies and early spring” My sentiments exactly!
I tried to quell the cookie craving, Pam, with cranberry muffins and cream cheese frosting this past week, but not sure that’s going to hold.
Ha ha! I am retired, I no longer quell.
Welcome back, for now, Mary! What a fun and playful poem to spring into hoping for spring to finally arrive. Our Wisconsin weather has blessed us with many hours to plan on what we’ll do when we can go back outside in temps above the below teens! LOL. It’s a balmy 33 degrees here this morning. YAY…one less layer of clothes needed to take a morning walk in. I look forward to reading about the bike trip you’ve been planning. Stay warm and cozy and enjoy the cuddles from the kitties!
I love this warmer weather! It makes going for a walk outside and shopping at the stores much easier. A few more weeks and the air will start smelling like spring. A few more and perhaps I can begin contemplating bike rides and trips. Yay!
YES, YES, YES!!! π΅π»ββοΈππππ
