#SoCS: No, Not Me

No matter what you believe, I am not bored.

No, not me.

I was simply checking in with the sun.

The warm sun.

Making sure all was okay.

Good news! It was sunny and warm and bright and warm and yellow and warm.

It made me sleepy for awhile.

But I’m not bored.

Gibbs is not bored. He’s just very old.

Hey…wait a minute peanut…

Old people and old cats need lots of naps or they get grumpy.

I’m gonna kick your little kitten butt…

See what I mean?

I’m never bored.

Except when the big, tall human won’t let me out on the patio.

Or in the kitchen.

Or on her bed when she’s sleeping.

She’s mean.

I heard that…

Her ears are bigger than mine.

Remember, I’m the one who feeds you…

Whatever.

Gibbs! Have you been teaching her attitude? Already?

Nope, I am not bored.

Not me.

I keep one eye open when I can.

Make sure I’m not missing anything.

Gibbs tries to back me up, but he’s old and sleepy.

Really? Shut the heck up!

Make me!

Kids? Are you fighting again?

No, human, we are having a discussion.

And then I’m going to play.

Nap.

Eventually, Gibbs and I may go a couple rounds.

Because I can never be bored.

Ever.

Love, Hoshi

Oh… what an adorable post…!! I just fell in love with those two wonderful cats…

So well done, Mary. I love this. I think you captured Hoshi’s personality perfectly. I’d say “poor Gibbs” but what he doesn’t enjoy, he had coming πŸ˜‰

I hope the tall human in charge of feeding has a nice weekend.

Poor Gibbs is spoiled rotten Gibbs and Hoshi may be headed in that direction as well. The tall human says “thanks Dan” for supporting her cat lady post and hopes you also have a great weekend.

It’s good that we all understand our roles in life. To serve and to be served. We know what side is ours.

  3. JoAnna says:

The photos and Hoshi’s voice really are adorable. I think Gibbs is being reasonably patient with Hoshi all things considered.

    • bikerchick57 says:

Gibbs is a good, laid-back boy most of the time. He has taken Hoshi under his wing while following her into the forbidden areas of the kitchen. I tell Gibbs he’s supposed to be teaching her manners, nut he tells.me that’s no fun. πŸ˜ΌπŸ˜ΌπŸ˜‘

Hehe! I think Hoshi is a real beauty (and I suspect Gibbs knows that she is). Hoshi’s playfulness will probably extend Gibb’s life – she will keep him “forever young”!

    • bikerchick57 says:

Gibbs’ daily exercise has definitely increased with Hoshi in the house. She is keeping him active…as much as he wants to anyway. πŸ˜‰

  5. Aw, they’re getting along so nicely! I hope the kitchen traps are working. On a side note, that photo of Hoshi on the screen reminded me of the photo my SIL took of her cat hanging on the screen on her porch. She framed it in black and white and won 1st prize at the fair – a trip to Disney. Hoshi is off to a great start in making you famous! πŸ™‚

    • bikerchick57 says:

LOL, Hoshi already tried to climb the screen. I was too busy trying to get her off that a photo was the last thing on my mind. Congrats to your SIL – I bet that was a fun photo!
