“And when we give each other Christmas gifts in His name, let us remember that He has given us the sun and the moon and the stars, and the earth with its forests and mountains and oceans–and all that lives and move upon them. He has given us all green things and everything that blossoms and bears fruit and all that we quarrel about and all that we have misused–and to save us from our foolishness, from all our sins, He came down to earth and gave us Himself.”

A long two-liner today, but it’s a message that hits home with me this time of year.
As much as I like gifts at Christmas, I love people even more. And this holiday season, I feel completely blessed with family, friends, church peeps, fellow bloggers and the wonderful people I have yet to meet. A coffee maker, clothing or gift cards to the mall are all nice gifts, but will never replace the love and comfort felt when surrounded by oxygen-breathing humans. It’s my social nature, I suppose, and I can’t imagine life without it.
So, my holiday wish for you is the gift of people – for smiles, hugs, love and three-sizes-big hearts. They can’t be wrapped and placed under the Christmas tree, but neither can the gift of a Savior.
Have a wonderful Christmas, holiday, or time to relax. Be safe with your people and enjoy!

People and their time are truly the best gift. I only wish that was my gift this year, but 2021 is what it is. Stay well, Mary, and enjoy your peeps.
Thanks Judy. I hope by this time next year, you have your people gifts. It’s a difficult time to be fully social, but better to be safe than the alternative.
Thank you for the wonderful message, Mary. The gift of.people is the best. Merry Christmas to you and all the people (and let’s not forget the non-people like Gibbs) in your life.
Oh boy, I forgot to mention Gibbs, didn’t I? Yes, they are part of the happiness too. Our furry ones bring joy every day – true gifts! Have a wonderful and merry Christmas, Dan.
I won’t tell him (and I’ll keep my phone away from MuMu).
Merry Christmas Mary! 💕☺️
Thanks Christine…same to you!
Thank you for this true and wonderful message, Mary. The marvelous blessings of creation, including people, are the most valuable gifts of all. Merry Christmas to you and your loved ones!
JoAnna, I hope you feel blessed in every way, especially with people and the natural beauty around you. Have a joyous Christmas!
Merry Christmas to you and Gibbs, Mary. 😻🎄
Same to you Lois! Enjoy all the holiday has to offer and Gibbs says “Meow!”
The gift of a smile or a hug or a twinkle in the eye can last a lifetime! And it is as precious as the air we breathe.
Hugs and smiles are the best, Pam! It would be hard for me to be happy without them. 🙂🤗❤
Me too!
Wishing you and Gibbs a Christmas filled with smiles and hugs too Mary! 🤗💖😺 xxx
