“Guide us with your grace
To a place where we’ll be safe.”
From “The Prayer,” written by David Foster, Carole Bayer Sager, Alberto Testa and Tony Renis.
You may know the original by Celine Dion and Andrea Bocelli, but I’ve been obsessing over the latest recording of “The Prayer” by Pentatonix. It’s on their latest Christmas CD, Evergreen.
In this holiday season, whether you find yourself religious or not, celebrate Christmas or not, my wish (and prayer) for you is one of safety, kindness, peace, love, light and all the good feels with family and friends.

This post has been brought to you by a prayer and Linda Hill’s One-Liner Wednesday. If you are wondering what One-Liner Wednesday is all about, CLICK HERE.
Linda G. Hill is the Queen of One-Liners and rules over her kingdom of followers. Check out today’s post and commit yourself to join the Queen’s one-liner army because there’s no fighting or blood, only comradery and fun with words.
Lindens is a wonderful gift, and it’s sp easy to give. I hope we all find it in our lives and find the ability to share it.
Ugh – Kindness – is a wonder…
If Lindens were a brand of dark chocolate, that would be a wonderful gift too. I hope you find both, Dan – kindness and chocolate – this holiday season.
Ha! Maybe it wasn’t a typo after all.
Great minds and fingers, Dan…
😂😂I feel the pain, Dan.
Cheryl, I don’t think Dan is the only one who does that. *guilty!*
Thank you, and the same wonderful wishes for you also.
Thanks Judy. Enjoy the lights, family and friends, and all of your blessings.
Beautiful, Mary ☺️💕
I love the performance and message, Christine. Have a great day!
Thanks, Mary. I think I’d love one more Christmas Day living the magic a d wonder as a child. Our Christmases were warm, cheery and comforting back then.
I feel that, Cheryl. Growing up, we lived in a house with a picture window and I always thought the fresh, piney tree, with its multi-colored lights and tinsel, was the prettiest on the street. Warm and cheery memories!
There were four of us children and it was a Christmas Eve tradition for us to reenact the Christmas Story. I supplied the baby doll and my brother was Joseph, being the only boy in our gang. But the real fun was listening to our two older sisters fight over who was going to be Mary. My oldest sister always won and my other sister had to be the ‘donkey’. There was only one wise man but I wasn’t getting in the middle of that. 🤦♀️😂😂 I did get to be Mary once. 😇
LOL, your poor sister, the donkey. I hope she laughs about that now. :-p
She laughs about everything. But she lost her husband three months ago so I am sad for her during these holidays. 💔
Oh, that makes me sad too. Virtual hugs for your sister. ❤
Peace, light, laughter, and love to you this Christmas! (and I hope you receive lots of the good chocolate and not that cheap Palmer stuff!)
Thank you! I buy my own chocolate because so much of it contains dairy, which I have to avoid. Those who know me, know to get me something else.
Thank you.
You’re welcome!
Thank you for this beautiful message and song. I love Pentatonix.
You’re welcome! I have all of their Christmas albums plus a few more.
