This week’s entry for Cee’s Black and White Photo Challenge (CBWC) includes hot and cold things.
Since I go for winter walks frequently during the week, I’ll start with cold.
A cold fog left snowy ice crystals on all of the trees. One of the streets I frequent on a neighborhood walk. They’ve been trying to sell this field for some time. I suppose cold winter weather does not help with potential buyers.
The street in front of my place after the first accumulating snowfall and another tree covered with icy snow. After the walk, a cup of hot tea in my favorite mug.

A friend of mine gave me that mug for Christmas one year. I wonder why… ;-p
There is more icy snow covering the trees this morning, cause by a foggy Wednesday. It’s been warm for January here (in the 30’s), but not a lot of sun. I think I prefer a little cooler weather and more sun!
I have been comfortable in my walks, Cee. It’s all in the right kind of clothing and gear, and the fact that there has been little wind to make it colder.
I like walking in the winter, but I have to say, following you through your walk is even better. I don’t have to dress warm and I don’t have to take my gloves off to get the beautiful photos. I just sit back and watch.
Very nice. I love the snow and ice, and they work so well in B&W.
I hope you have fair winter weather this weekend, Mary.
I’m glad to oblige you in an armchair walk, Dan. I hope you were holding a cup of coffee the entire time. We’ve been “warm” for January and it continues through at least the weekend. What is lacking, though, is the sun. Need more sun, sans snow or ice.
I was wondering what your side of the state is looking like! Thanks for sharing. We’ve been having a week of frost-covered surfaces without much snow. So your shots are great shots of winter in WI. I LOVE that cup you have, that’s awesome! Cheers to walks in the snow and the spring weather to come. 🙂
I’m hoping that our mild winter continues, Shelley. It makes it easier to want to walk or be outside, which is a good thing this time of year. Sending cheers back from my tea cup…happy Sunday!
Ha! I love that mug! The ‘tree covered with icy snow’ is so perfect! I will enjoy if from afar. It is cold and rainy here in sunny Florida. No snow.

What a beautiful walk in the snow Mary and I love the cup of tea that awaits when you return 💜
It has been beautiful here. We had another day of fog, so the trees are once again covered in white. I could handle a winter of this. 🙂
What a fun challenge. Your photos are lovely. I like black and white photos, if only because they are a throwback to my youth.
I like black and white too, Ally. There’s just something oddly cool about looking at life without color.
That most definitely looks like it was a cold walk. Tea looks lusciously warm too! 😀

We have sun, but it’s cold. I’m clutching my coffee.

Me too – so far we haven’t had too much snow and the roads have been safe to walk on. Cheers to you and I hope the sun shines on your next walk!
