This past week was a glorious addition to a fall biking menu.
Rather than normal high temperatures in the upper 40’s to low 50’s F, we have been basking in the warmth of the 60’s and low 70’s. It is the weather I had hoped for in October. It’s been a blessing as the loveliness of the outdoors has kept my mind off the national election and on to more important matters: time on the nearby state bike trails.
I would call the menu item “Biking Happiness du jour.” Something that tastes good and takes a few hours to digest, with the added benefit of a sensory demonstration – much like cherries jubilee or banana foster with the flames of a mid afternoon sun and sweetness of God’s amazing earth.
But, don’t take my word for it. Let the photo gallery do the talking and let me know if you agree. Photos are from the Wiouwash, Mountain Bay and Friendship trails near Appleton and Green Bay.

Have a wonderful Saturday! Enjoy your own type of happiness du jour!

Stream of Consciousness Saturday is the brainchild of author Linda G. Hill. Every Friday, Linda provides her followers with an inspiring blogger’s prompt. It can be a word or words and sometimes bonus points are involved (my favorite). Linda asks us to write without editing, other than correcting spelling errors.
Just go with the flow.
Like a babbling brook or rain drops. Click HERE if this type of writing floats your boat or helps with your decision-making. Your Friday prompt for Stream of Consciousness Saturday is “jour.” Find a word containing “jour” or use it as is. Bonus points if you start or end your post with that word. Enjoy!
a perfect ‘bike dining’ experience. love the weather
It was perfect, Beth, and I wish the weather would stay.
Your weather has taken a turn for the pretty. Your photos are lovely. Happy Weekend to you.
Thanks Ally. I have to enjoy the warmth while it’s here and before normal returns.
Today is shaping up to be a beautiful fall day – sun, crisp leaves, blue skies and that tiny hint of chill in the air! I think we will try to go apple picking today or tomorrow!
Sounds like a fun plan for the weekend. Soak it all up…the sun, the crunch of leaves and the taste of a sweet apple. Life is good!
I love the menu description. This looks like the perfect day.
Today is going to be another fabulous day, Lois, but I might go for a walk instead just to mix thingd up.
a walk is definitely on the menu for me, today. We are also enjoying balmy weather. Enjoy your ride – or rides – something tells me you will go back for seconds!
Maggie, I’ve been out for seconds and thirds. I might try ride #4 today if the wind is not intolerable. Otherwise, I have plenty of great place to walk and enjoy the outdoors.
Beautiful!😍
Thank you!
Gorgeous photographs Mary and what glorious whether for cycling along these beautiful trails! 🌞 Wishing you and yours a happy weekend too 🤗💜

The gallery is just beautiful. Thanks for taking us with you 🙂
You’re welcome! Glad and willing to share these days.
I’m glad you were able to order another round of biking weather. It must be a treat to be riding in November. The pictures are wonderful. I love the photo of the bike. It looks like it’s calling you.
This has been exceptional weather, just like the exceptional outcome of the election. I’m hoping tomorrow gives me one more day to get out on the trail because yes, the bike is calling.
Your photos are wonderful! They invite me to imagine I can feel the sunshine and smell the smells of autumn in the kind of weather that makes me want to be outside all day long.
Oh how I love the smells of autumn on the bike trail, JoAnna! It’s probably my favorite time of year to ride.
Great weather, and I’m glad you have gotten to enjoy it.
We’ll have the warmer weather for two more days, Judy, so have to get out and enjoy while it lasts.
