“Each year, Labor Day gives us an opportunity to recognize the invaluable contributions that working men and women make to our nation, our economy and our collective prosperity. It gives us a chance to show gratitude for workers’ grit, dedication, ingenuity and strength, which define our nation’s character.”
~Tom Perez~
Lives focused and resolved
Able to work through time and task
Believing in a mission, a vision
Obeying the rules, the boss
Realizing a job well done
Dedicated, compassionate
Always serving, always attending
Yielding to rest, finally, on this day
Nicely done Mary. I think the line that resonated the most is “Realizing a job well done” – that’s a special feeling.
We are in the same boat, looking at Labor Day from the other side for the first time.
I am thinking today of my peers who continue with the difficult work, who are dedicated in getting the job done, and who were really a great group to be around. Kudos to them all!
👍🏻💕
Thanks for your hard work, Cheyl!
You too Mary! Enjoy being out of the “force”. Interesting phrase when you think about its multiple meanings…’work force’. 😏
Excellent Acrostic poem! The last line brings it all together!
Thank you!
