“They say stay in the lines, but there’s always something better on the other side.”
~John Mayer~
I made it to the other side
On my ride
Last one of the season
I reasoned
This may be true
The sky shod its blue
Days turned to chill
as the rider turned ill
Could there be more
For a bicycle whore
Another warm day
Before fall goes away
To get to the other side
And ride outside the lines

I’m hoping that November delivers more days of sunshine and relative warmth. Let’s hope there still may be some days of riding ahead!
Happy Wednesday 🙂
I would go today if there wasn’t the work thing. Sunny and highs in the 50’s. Nice fall day for a bike ride, but may have to resort to a lunch time walk instead.
In contrast, we are facing 4 days of rain 😕
and although yesterday was a beautiful sunny day, I spent it cleaning the yard 😕😕
Enjoy your beautiful day!!
There’s always hope for one more ride. I’m glad you were able to take advantage of this day.
Thanks Dan. I’m holding onto the biking season for as long as I can!
Something better on the other side of work: retirement! But for now, weekends and holidays. I hope you have more warmish ones ahead.
Right, Joanna! In retirement, I’ll be able to get on the bike whenever I want! 😊
This poem reminds me of trail running. Maybe that is “running outside the lines” for me! 🙂
You go, girl. I have never been a runner, but I admire those who do. Put your athletic shoes on and hit the trail!
I hope you get another ride in! I haven’t been on my bike since I fell and broke my rib. I healed and then didn’t get back on it, maybe next year. Yes, next year, for sure! Happy Weekend to you, Mary – the sunset photo you took was gorgeous by the way!
Thanks Shelley! Even if I don’t get on the bike again until spring, I am happy I was able to take that last ride. Absolutely get on the bike next year. You’ll be fine!
