Lately, Today

Not sure what to say

today

Lately, it’s like this

most often

rainy, dreary, no sun

blah

missing Vitamin D

One day last week it appeared

blue sky

crispy crunchy air

fading greens, bright yellows

I walked the autumn path

The morning sky

soulful

breathtaking

at peace

when there is sun

The morning rain

dark and inky

gloomy

moisturizing

mottling traffic lights

On a bright day

the sandhills visit

trumpet their song

of migration

then fly away

She barely escaped my car

but the little one finds food

in young tree leaves

and baby green grass

then scurries away

I require more of this

the soul of morning

hope, peace

joy of light

day of glory

On the rainy days

we sleep, nap

eat stuff

take a shower

or guard the drain

and wait for sol to return

It really isn’t the stuff we can but that makes the difference. It’s not just beautiful, it’s necessary.

Thank you so much! A little bit of sun would go a long way toward a smile or two. Or three. πŸ™‚πŸ™‚πŸ™‚

Soak in some of those Ray’s for me. It’s warm today, but that means threat of thunderstorms. The lawns look great, very green, but I think everyone wants to put their lawnmowers away and clean up the yard.

I wish I was outside on my bike today but sadly I’m not. Doing dreaded yard work instead. What a waste of a perfect day!

It’s sunny at the moment…looking out from the office window. I probably should go stand outside for a few minutes and soak it in…
I so enjoy the sound of sandhills. The trumpeting makes me happy.

We have had a lovely day here in my part of the UK, managed a walk to the Arboretum.

For me to get sick of rain it has to rain a lot, and I do mean a lot, like one spring when it rained 26 days straight. But I understand, because many people do seem to need sunlight to keep their spirits up. Hope you get some sunshine and blue skies soon!

Well, it poured again tonight. Rain again tomorrow. Sun maybe on Thursday, I hope. Need to dry my shoes. 😏
