“This moment is as it should be.”
~Deepak Chopra~
The moment is right
The drain is in sight
For green eyes to focus upon
This cat is never alone
In a perfect time zone
Where water is here and then gone
The moment is mine to choose
The perfect place to snooze
And let out a nasally cat snore
This basket is mine
At an instance in time
It’s warm, fuzzy blanket I adore
This moment is as it should be
Laying myself on momma’s knee
Taking a break from play that is hard
I find comfort in her lap
And take a joyous, long nap
From this place I prefer never to part
This post has been brought to you by special cat moments. It has also been brought to you by Linda G. Hill’s “One-Liner Wednesday.” All you need to play along every week is an awesome one-liner and follow a few rules. Birds on a wire are not required, but make sure you link back today’s post to HERE so the rest of us #1linerweds peeps can read it.
Love,, love, love precious kitty moments!
So do I, Shelley, especially when they snuggle with their “mom.” 🙂
I think you have the though process down pretty well. I love it when they choose to snuggle. MiMi is also one with the drain.
The morning I took the photo of Gibbs on my knee and lap, my leg started to go numb and I had to finally get up…otherwise, I think we both would have stayed in that position for another hour or two.
I know that feeling. They seem so comfortable and your leg is aching.
Love this, Mary!
Thanks Judy! Love and hugs to you! 💗
MaryJ, this is purr-fect! I love it. Hugs. 🐱
Thanks Teagan! Gibbs and Ziva send a meow and snore back at you!
Wishing you and your loved ones a Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!
Same to you, Phil. Let’s make 2018 an awesome year!
Nice poems in praise of the moment.
Thanks Frank!
Perhaps Gibbs knows there is something down that drain …. be afraid! muwahahahah!
Just throwing you a little curve from your poem of peace and serenity 😉
Great. Thanks. Now tomorrow morning, when I take a shower, I’ll be thinking of spiders and snakes coming out of those holes.
You mean you weren’t already?! Obviously I’m the only neurotic one 😉
I swear, one day I am coming back as a pampered cat. Life seems so uncomplicated.
I think Gibbs and Ziva would say otherwise with their pathetic meows, even though I know better.
You’ve conjured up cozy memories of a cat laying on me in winter.
It’s a good memory to have on the really cold days. 😃
Charming narration 🙂
Thanks Joey!
Your grey cat looks just like our little Russian Blue. The green eyes are hypnotic and if it’s anything like ours, a real love sponge.

Gibbs is a gentle love sponge. He’s a naughty one, but all is forgiven when he looks at me with the green eyes and kneads my face.
By the way, thanks for following my blog, Allan. I appreciate it!
My pleasure. I could have sworn that I followed it in the past. My WordPress Reader had a brain fart last year and a lot of sites dropped off. I have slowly re-connected with them over time.
