“Keep your face to the sunshine and you cannot see a shadow.”
~ Helen Keller ~
There’s no better way to start a Wednesday than with your face in the sun. If you can’t see the sun today due to clouds or rain, feel free to stare at the happy little sun on your computer screen.
Sunshine is positivity and light! It brightens the spirit and produces smiles. It gives warmth in the summer and hope during winter months. Sunshine provides both Vitamin D and a reason to use SPF30.
Without sunshine, there would be darkness, cold and no shadows.
Who wants that?
So, enjoy the sunshine or the happy sun on your computer screen today. You deserve it.
This post has been brought to you by a lovely yellow orb in the sky. It has also been brought to you by Linda G. Hill’s “One-Liner Wednesday.” All you need to play along every week is an awesome one-liner and follow a few rules. Birds on a wire are not required, but make sure you link back today’s post to HERE so the rest of us #1linerweds peeps can read it.
You are so right Mary! Happy Sun-Day!
Same to you, Cheryl!
Thank you!
I hope you have a sunny day, Mary. We’ve had two days of clouds and rain, but the sun is fighting its way through the fog right now 🙂
BTW, this post offset the effect of running into a guy wearing a Cowboys jersey at Dunkin Donuts today – so thanks for that.
Cowboys…ugh. Glad I could be of help. It’s supposed to rain here today, so I will be looking at the computer screen. 😶
I know. I’m used to Patriots and Giants, but Cowboys?
Cowgirls. Not a fan. Ever.
Thanks for the sunshine on my screen, Mary. Today’s weather is looking iffy.
You’re welcome, Lois. I’ll be looking at the screen several times today. It’s gray with chance of heavy rain later. Liquid sunshine!
Thanks for the sunshine, Sunshine! ❤
No problem, Sunshine! I’m happy to serve!
Good advice about the sunshine.
Enjoy the sun, Frank!
Don’t forget those sunglasses. That’s what my eye doc says. “Sunny days, chasin the clouds away…”
Oh, yes, sunglasses are a must to keep the eyes safe. Plus, they are cool. 😉
😉
I’ll be swimmin in the sun today. SPF 110, thank you very much 😉 Tomorrow it will rain, but today there is sun! And your post is like sunshine for the brain! 😀
Enjoy the sun for me, Joey. It’s trying to peek out a little right now, but this is a rain day for Wisconsinites. I’ll be headed over to the internet sun in a minute…
I have so much sun. Too much, really. Till nobody is smiling about it.
Can you really have too much sun? Can you bottle it up and send it to me in the dead of winter?
Haha! If I could, I would. There is no rain here. Just the sun and more sun. Everyday. Some rain, even a little, would be awesome.
It’s too bad that Mother Nature has never figured out how to even out the sun, rain, snow, wind, etc. across the planet, so we can all share and have a little of each.
True. We get too much of each at different times in different parts of the world. Perhaps so that we can learn to appreciate one another’s joys and pains. It may Mother’s way of balancing her gifts to us.
I’m enjoying the smiling sun you provided since it was a cloudy day and now raining. Maybe tomorrow I’ll get to see the real thing 🙂
If I see the sun, I’ll shoot it your way.
Much appreciated 🙂
This post reminded me of the way children draw the sun. It is always big, many times with spokes around it, usually with a happy face in it, and not always yellow. Most pictures little ones draw have a sun in it. They know its importance.
Since I don’t draw much better than a child, my next sun will be purple and smiling.
Oh No! Another wonderful world to explore! One Line Wednesday! I just started Wordless Wednesday…I am dancing with delight. And the sun is the best one-liner of all!
I find One-Liner Wednesday and easy one to write. Sometimes the one-liners pop up when least expected and make great posts. Hope you’ll join us next Wednesday!
