Do you ever wonder what cats see when they look up?
What makes them stare?
Is it a bird? A plane?
Or the promise of a lovely day?
Do you ever look up and wonder what is the big deal?
What draws a cat’s interest?
In this instance, his gaze is to the east.
The sky tells a story.
Look! Up there!
The promise of dark clouds and rain.
And the remaining patch of a lovely day.

there is nothing prettier than a cat’s eyes. Great photos, Mary.
Thanks Lois! I used to have an orange and beige cat (Willie) that had the coolest blue eyes. His dad was a Siamese.
Jai used to stare just to screw with us, I swear. Then in his little kitty head, he was doing the Rocket kitty dance, saying, “Made you look! Made you look! Made you look!”
Seriously nice images…
Isn’t that part of the human training process by the cats? You know…feed us, pet us…let us mess with you. All part of the assimilation process.
Great response. Besutiful photos. I know they see something, I just know it.
It’s those damn ghosts! :-p
I’m not sure I want to know what they’re looking at. It kind of creeps me out when Theo stares intently just over my shoulder {shudder}
Maybe that’s when they’re in a CATatonic state…planning the demise of a mouse and the world as we know it.
hehehe
Cats the world over, eh?! Ours does the same. I love watching her, its quite mesmerising following her eyes. Lovely photos of your beauties 🙂
a sweet story
up there 🙂
Thank you! From two sweet “kids”…
I don’t mind the staring. It’s the staring with the hackles raised that I’m not so keen on.
It must be an invisible monster…or something like that.
That’s very reassuring. Thanks. 😛
When my cats suddenly look up and stare into something, I ask them, what do you see?
Don’t you wish they could answer? 😉
