The word of the week is Jubilant.
Rejoice! It’s the end of the week, and time for a celebratory photo challenge.
Jubilance is on the other side of the photographs.
I was smiling broadly and effusively.
You see, the weather here turned sunny and warm this week.
And I found a new spot for a lunch time break,
a bench with a view,
and the peaceful calm of blue sky and water.
Photos were taken at Fritse Park, on the shore of Little Lake Butte des Morts, next to the Trestle Friendship Trail Bridge.
Very nice. I agree jubilant isn’t always a party or a celebration. Peace, tranquility, and time alone, at times, is jubilant.
Those are the times that I can empty my mind for a few minutes and be at ease. Makes me so happy!
Jubilant is a good word of the week. And sitting on that bench with that view would make happy. Lucky you. Enjoy your nice weather.
I’m going to enjoy the weather to its fullest extent, Ally. Have a great weekend!
Indeed, a scene
which though serene
gives inclination
for jubilation!
Excellent! Thanks for the poem 🙂
Oh, that looks inviting. Excellent choice for the prompt.
Thanks Dan. It’s one of those places where once you sit down, you don’t want to go back to work again.
I can’t figure out why you go back. You have a string work ethic.
A beautiful spot. I’d love to sit there, too.
janet
I’d share the bench!
Sounds good. I’ll bring my camera.
Nice. Seriously, weather changes people’s mood. It is more than a ‘nice’ thing to have. Every day is a bliss. The good weather adds extra positive energy. 🙂
The weekend has been gorgeous…blue skies, sun and summer-like weather. It could stay like this on the weekends until the end of September and I would be happy
I feel more peaceful just looking at your peaceful view. THANKS!
You’re welcome! Glad I could bring a little calm to the start of your Monday.
What an interesting interpretation of the challenge; makes me want to see more of your work as a photographer.
I’ll be following you from now on. Have an amazing day! 🙂
A perfect spot to contemplate the beauty and serenity of nature.
Bonus! There’s also a bridge!!
More bonus points…it used to be a train bridge! 🙂
woohoo! 🙂
… or should I say choo-choo 😉
Ha! LOL!
Hopefully you get a good long lunch at your spot, lovely!
Lunch is about 45 minutes, but that’s long enough!
I am now adding this to our road trip across Wisconsin this summer. We’re traveling from Manitowoc after taking the ferry across. If you can recommend a good spot to stop in Little Lake Butte des Morts, I’ll add it to the potential’s list!
Awesome. The bench is located in Fritse Park and there is a walk/bike Trestle Trail bridge that spans the lake. Nice place to stop if you need to stretch your legs. If you’re coming from Manitowoc on Hwy 10, before you get to Menasha, there is a place on Lake Winnebago called Waverly Beach, which is a restaurant/bar…if you are hungry and parched. Great seating outside and nice atmosphere.
Thanks. Adding it to the itinerary!
