a trifecta for Thursday doors?
How do I float your boat,
and leave you wanting more?
Will the door people scowl,
at this petty attempt?
To engage in the challenge,
with a twisted bent.
For there were two doors,
that beckoned me close.
Walk this way, they called,
Weβre not too morose!
Β
We service the people
in this little park.
The ones who walk, run, bike
and fish after dark.
Β
We are their refuge.
They need us, you see.
Because after their fill of water
They desperately need to pee.

Those are seriously important doors Mary! I love your contribution to Thursday Doors, and I’m jealous that you have a place to ride that has a rest stop. Nicely done!
I’m glad you appreciate the doors and bathroom humor, Dan. The doors are located in Fritse Park, connected to the Friendship Trail and Trail Trestle Bridge (old train bridge across the lake). It’s a stone’s throw from the office, so I can walk there during lunch or I can take the bike and enjoy the trails.
I would be seriously unproductive if I could walk there during lunch. An old train bridge, that’s just not fair.
Sorry Dan. I suppose this goes along with my Wednesday blessings. Yes, it’s hard to go back to work after walking the bridge in nice weather. I would prefer to sit on a bench for an hour and think of nothing.
I like your poem. And the doors look pleased to be the center of attention. π
Thanks Ally. I have been “saved” by those doors on more than one occasion. They deserve attention.
Haha! I enjoyed your potty poem — it was just the right thing π
Thanks Joey. I was hoping it didn’t stink up the place.
Boat float β take note …
Doorway ? β good day !
Rest stop ? β be-bop!
The rhyming is infectious, my precious π
Greetings from Colorado! I’m bored to death at work so I decided
to check out your site on my iphone during lunch break.
I enjoy the information you provide here and can’t
wait to take a look when I get home. I’m surprised at how fast your blog loaded
on my cell phone .. I’m not even using WIFI, just 3G ..
Anyhow, awesome site!
Hello Will. Thanks for visiting and commenting on my blog site. Sorry I’m a little late in responding, I found your comment in my spam folder.
When you gotta go, the sight off that second door is such sweet relief! π
janet
You bet, Janet!
Haha! A very worthy tribute. My favorite doors during Mardi Gras, even the blue plastic ones…π±
Yeah, I’ve been in a few of the blue plastic ones. Sometimes disgusting, but necessary.
Yep. If you drink enough disgusting becomes relative to necessity. Lol
A little “potty” humor is always appreciated. π Great poem and those are some important doors!
Your comment is #1 in my book. π
Door poetry – now that’s a first! I love it; very original π
Thanks Norm. My goal is to always keep it interesting, or at least try.
