The brother was here this weekend, a quick visit for Mother’s Day. When he’s here, there are always specific places he likes to go – restaurants, brew pubs, points of interest – that are unique to the area.
On Saturday, we headed north to the Green Bay Botanical Garden, per brother’s request. I’ve been there several times, for every season (except winter), and never tire of the display. We weren’t sure what to expect, so it was extremely delightful that tulips and daffodils were in full bloom. The garden, with its many walkways and buildings, has the feel of a make-believe wonderland from a fairy tale. On this day, it also felt like a small slice of Holland.

Really pretty! I could stand tulip gardens all year round! Love tulips!
Glad you had this time, thanks for sharing your sights π
Wouldn’t it be nice to have a tulip garden, magnolia tree and a bench in the backyard all spring and summer? I’d go sit on the bench every morning with a cup of coffee, breathe in, and have a great start to the day.
Yes, it would! π
It’s a beautiful garden and I love how they’ve incorporated the buildings into the landscaping.
Spring is such a pretty time when all the flowers start blooming. It’s such a shame that they don’t last all summer!
Right, but I they have to die back in this case to allow room for the summer perennials. Their daisies, cone flowers, lilies and the rest are gorgeous in July and August.
Can’t I have it all? π
Very nice pictures. Looks like a terrific garden.
It’s a fabulous garden, Phil!
Splash of colors – all given to us by Earth. Earth is a gift.
Earth is a wonder of creation. I love it’s smell and color.
Same here:)
Your botanic gardens look extensive. Love the Hobbit houses. I wish ours had a Hobbit house.
The photo of the long building is actually a restroom. They did such a great job incorporating the buildings into the gardens. It’s very cool.
These gardens are so uplifting thank you so much for sharing these joyful photos ! π Beautiful.
You are welcome! I hope to go back in July when summer is in full bloom.
