Foggy Limericks

“The purpose of writing is to inflate weak ideas, obscure pure reasoning, and inhibit clarity. With a little practice, writing can be an intimidating and impenetrable fog!” ~Bill Watterson~

So, Bill found us out, writers wrongfully sure

Our ideas weak, unreasoned, far from pure

I love the words you say

I read your posts almost every day

And in the dense fog seek, for there is a cure

“Most of us live in a fog. It’s like life is a movie we arrived to 20 minutes late. You know something important seems to be going on. But we can’t figure out the story. We don’t know what part we’re supposed to play or what the plot is.” ~John Eldredge~

So, John speaks truth to an abundant degree

I’m not positive where I’m supposed to be

Never mind, I choose foggy today

I wave the unknowing angst away

And live in suspense of life’s blessings for me

I like the limericks and the bottom photo is amazing. The lines narrowing into an unknown future. Perfect.

Thanks Dan. For whatever reason, the road I take to work has provided amazing sunrises and is eerily cool in the fog. I can’t always stop to take a photo, but this morning I did. It was a good decision.

I like it when we see cool stuff on the way to work. It always makes for a better day.

The quote reminds me that life is a mystery that no one can control, as much as we try. What we can control is whether or not we choose to enjoy the mystery…right?

I love the mystery of the fog too, but I don’t like driving in pea soup at night. That morning wasn’t bad, though, as very photo worthy. Thanks H!
