In Seven Hours

Here it lies.

Holiday Season 2014 042

The sadness of a Queen.

Forlorn

Pitiful

Hopeless

Meow, Meowr, Mew *sigh*

Is the bed not soft enough my Empress?

Is your blanketed basket no longer held in high esteem?

Are there not enough dangling mice in your royal toy chest?

Is court jester Gibbs annoying you to no end?

Has Christmas ended far too early?

Tell me dear Ziva, why the long face?

*pause*

Meow, Meowr, Mew *sigh*

Oh, I see.

The kibble. There is none.

Your belly is empty,

and so is your special pink dish.

The last feeding was not enough.

It never is.

Well, dear Queen,

Try not to waste away.

Or die from a faint.

You’ll have more kibble soon.

In a mere seven hours.

Yes, seven hours.

Meow, Meowr, Mew *sigh*

You are stronger stuff than I am.
I cave and give the extra food.
I’m weak … I can’t resist the eyes … and the relentless meowing.

One so seldom sees an expression on one’s mog’s face – and yet there she is, sad Shiva ..
This is awfully close to home, M-J: Lui has suddenly turned into a fat cat. He is so large and so stroppy that I fear for my health if he finds his scrabbly bowl empty … :-\

Lui needs a cat wheel! Or you will have to lock yourself in the bedroom during the hours of the empty dish. 😉

I’ll lock myself in here – at least I’ll be able to swear at you while he tries to break the door down !
        [grin]

For us humans, yes. I like to eat something about every 30 minutes. I suppose Ziva gets a little peeved about that.
