This past Friday was pumpkin carving day. The neighbors invited us over for supper, wine, and “a go” at the big, round, orange fruit. It was a contest of who can carve better than a 5th grader. With little or no recent experience at this venture, I would say we fared pretty well. Wouldn’t you?
The mad minion bids you hello!
A knife and an imagination brings a frightful sight.
The owl’s eyes glow in the night, ready to kill.
The evil Cheshire cat welcomes you into his lair.
The happy pumpkin wishes you a Happy Halloween.
I am impressed !!!
Mind you, it doesn’t take a lot to impress me when it comes to pumpkin carving … [grin]
I think we impressed ourselves a bit, M-R! π
What will you do with them all ?
They are all sitting outside, by the front door of the building. Waiting to scare the visitors. π Unfortunately, after Halloween, they will find their way to the garbage as they are already deteriorating. π¦
Gosh, Having their innards gouged out doesn’t seem to agree with ’em, then.
Wonder why …?
;D
Hmmmmmm…thinking, thinking…
Before or after wine? π These are great–especially the Cheshire Cat!
Before, during and after. π
Oh, man, you guys get all the fun. Fourth of July, Halloween, Christmas with snow. Honestly, it’s a miracle we Aussies can maintain our sunny dispositions.
Keep smiling…summer is coming!
It’s been a long time since I carved a pumpkin but I know for a fact I never carved one as interesting as these! Nice job! and I love that you all gathered for food, wine, and carving! Good fun!
We’re already planning Pumpkin Carving II for next year!
These are some fantastic carvings! If I may, I’m going to steal a couple of these for my pumpkins.
Absolutely, be our guest!
Love the cat!!
I know, it’s my favorite too.
Good job! I know because I have tried. π¦
I like the cat too. π
We all offer our thanks!
The cat has my vote!! π
This may be a landslide victory!
Oooh! I love the Chessie Cat! We carved our pumpkins the weekend before last. Ours are already looking moldy with the warm weather we’ve had here! Great job!
The cat ears have shriveled up to something that resembles dried apples and the smell is getting offensive. I didn’t realize they decompose so fast. Next year, we will have to wait until a day or two before Halloween.
Minions! Banana! Cool looking pumpkins!
Thanks Phil!
