Staring Into Space

Sometimes I stare boredly into space, thinking utterly of nothing. ~Clarice Bean~

Gibbers 002

What does this being think of as he stares into space?

Does he wonder when he will get his next meal?

Does he wonder when the birds will return to his window?

Does he wonder why human doesn’t pay more attention to him?

Gibbers 005

Or is the mind void, the stare of nothingness on his face?

Tell me Mr. Gibbs. What’s in that handsome head of yours?”

Maybe he’s secretly in charge and he’s planning your day tomorrow. Our always seem to know something that we don’t.

You will never be privileged to know, M-J.
But on the other hand, your are IMMENSELY privileged to be allowed to ponder while he scatters the largesse of his beauty.
    As are we !! 😀

  3. He is thinking what every domestic feline is thinking – how to take over the world. Oh wait a minute, that task has already been accomplished. 🙂

He is a handsome boy, Mary. Love the second shot with window sidelight. It really shows off his whiskers and soft white bib.

Thanks Cathy. Gibbs is all gray, no white…it’s the magic of the light from the window that makes it appear white. Fooled ya! 🙂

My cat stars into space too. Sometimes I wonder if he sees something I do not. Perhaps Mr. Gibbs and my Mr. Bailey are deep in zen thought… or plotting for a tuna dinner.

I don’t mind the starring, except in the middle of the night when you wake up and you see cat eyes glaring at you…intently.

What goes on in that kitty head at that time… I dare to ask.

    Kt!

Gibbs plots for roasted chicken (favored over tuna) and I know exactly what he’s thinking when he glares in the middle of the night…”Why are you sleeping? Get up and feed me human!” Or he’s plotting to kill me :-p
