In response to this week’s photo challenge, I give you a week in review with signs…both tangible and intangible.
September 26th. From the FedEx man. The sign of a man with a sense of humor and good heart. And staples.
September 29th. A mango/basil margarita. The sign of a gathering with peers, friends, and a few laughs.
October 1st. A view from the fourth floor. A sign that being away from home for three days doesn’t have to be a bad thing.
October 3rd. A carpet of fall leaves. The sign of a weather change and the wind that has sent golden leaves falling from the sky. A week ago, the temps were in the 70’s. Today, temps are falling with an expected high of 48 degrees on Saturday. Yes, 48 degrees. A sign not photographed, but felt with a chill on the skin and a thought of what is to come.
((((Hugs))))
Hugs back! 🙂
Have I missed something ? – what’s with the view from the 4th floor, M-J ?
I was out of town at a business conference for three days and got to stay in a condo on the fourth floor. Nice accommodations!
Oh, get it. Then I did miss something. Dammit. [grin]
Well, no time to post anything while I was away and in reality, you didn’t miss much unless you wanted a photo of me sitting for hours at a time, listening to speakers, drinking too much coffee.
September 29…my favorite day!
It’s the day the world was blessed with your presence, right? 🙂
no, your drink looks delish! 🙂
Ohhhhhhh!!! I suppose that drink would make any day your birthday, right?
I like your FedEx guy.
Mango/basil, eh? Hmmm, not sold on that one, but the margarita part gets my attention!
The margarita was excellent. It tasted, for the most part, like mango…and then you would get just a teeny tiny taste of basil…magical!
A great version of ‘signs’.
A mango-basil margarita sounds wonderful right now 🙂
Oh, I really wish I knew how to make one. So yummy.
Mango/basil margarita? I’ve never heard of such a thing. But I think I am rather glad you have introduced me to the concept…. 48 degrees? In Autumn? Yoiks! It really does get cold there, hey? (For the record, 9 degrees (Celsius, thank you) is considered cold even in winter here.)
Well, now you have me envying your Australian winters. I would gladly take 9 degrees Celsius when we get a -20 polar vortex day. That’s Farenheit!
I don’t think our thermometers even go that low. And I live in the south where it’s cold. Or “cold” as you would put it with exaggerated quotation mark fingers.
That is why I have a pair of thermal long johns for each day of the week during winter.
what did i hear ur mind thimk snow lol 🙂 an cold,,yeah don’t talk bout it lol 🙂
OK, I’ll be quiet :–/
How fun that note from the FedEx guy!
And how was the Mango / Basil Margarita? I am such a basil fan!
That carpet of leaves is great, too. Fall is definitely here … we rode in 50 degree weather. Gorgeous! but I wore my leather coat for the first time this season 🙂
The margarita was excellent! Mango with a hint of basil, who would have guessed? You first put the leather coat on when it was 50? I used to wear mine when it was 70…I was a bit of a cold weenie in that regard.
